Apartment buildings and small living compounds are how the Chinese people live. In the cities these apartment complexes dominate the skyline, like these in Beijing.
There is smog and haze during summer virtually everyday. It is not fog, but a smokey haze that sits over the landscape. We were told it is sunny with bright skies in winter.
